Mason tried sweet potatoes for the first time today! Judging by the look on his face and the gagging we dealt with while eating, I don't think he liked them as much as the pears ... but mommy loves them so I'm sure he will learn to love 'em too!
"Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them!" ~Psalm 127: 3-5~ New Living Translation

Mason is oh so close to rolling over too. Last night, he had kicked that leg up and he was teetering on his side, but didn't go over. I'm sure it's only a matter of time... I just have to say what a blessing Mason is. Each and every day is special. It is amazing being parents and we wouldn't trade it for anything! He is such a joy and the apple of our eye!
Mason has been doing this a lot lately and I know it is only a matter of time before he learns how to kick that leg up and over and he'll be rolling. It's amazing how much he is growing. Calvin claims he's rolled from his stomach to his back already, but I have yet to see it. :) Just like Mason says "Dad" only in his presence ... it may be another mystery!
We also love to watch Mason as he talks to his animals. For not having any words, he sure does have a lot to say!
So today we decided to try cereal for the first time. Yum, yum, yummy in my tum, tum, tummy! Mason was four months old yesterday and is eating more all the time. As you will see, I don't think he was so sure about the stuff. Actually, I am not even sure much of it made it into his tummy. Between the tongue and the drool, we sure made a mess out of things. It was a fun memory nonetheless and we are excited to introduce new things to our son.
