We had a super fun-filled weekend. On Friday, we drove to Claremont, California (suburb of LA) where great auntie Sharon lives. We arrived late afternoon and had very yummy mediterranean chicken, caprese salad, and caesar salad prepared by auntie. Of course, everything is a little better with a glass of wine! :) After dinner, we strolled down to the new town square where we listened to music by local bands, shopped in boutiques, and ran into some of Sharon and Dan's friends. After we returned home, we had raspberries and cream for dessert while we talked until midnight. Of course, after feeding mason, mommy was tired and decided to retire.
Saturday was just as fun. We lazed around the house until about noon and then went to our favorite designer home store, Gina T's, in La Verne. We spent much time in there looking at furniture and accessories. She has such beautiful items. We decided to purchase a lamp for the family room (and now that we have it home, it really looks beautiful and softens the room). After we finished there, we picked up Dan and went to "Heroes", a bar and grill, for dinner. There food was huge, but very delicious! After we finished, we strolled around the Village and then went home to chit-chat, help Sharon with downloading music on her ipod, and then headed for home around 9pm. It was such a relaxing time. We love going there because it feels like a retreat. Thank you Sharon and Dan for such a nice weekend!
On Sunday, we went to church and met lots of new friends. Grandma Rachel, auntie Angie, and cousin Emily were there, too! Afterwards, we went to Don and Joyce's big labor day barbeque. It was such a nice day. And the food was yummy! We met new friends Barbara, Dawn, and Keith. We met Jane Hull, who went to school with Dolly. We also saw Erin, Chuck's daughter, and Glenn, Don and Joyce's son. Everyone loved Mason and we guess that Grandma Dolly will be jealous since they all loved up on Mason before she did! Don't worry Dolly ... your time is coming soon! We ended our day watching "Akeelah and the Bee", a super cute movie that we rented from Blockbuster.
Monday (today), we decided just to relax around the house. Such a nice time to be with family!
